Canadian Personalities

Hi everyone. In this assignment I had to go http://www.civilization.ca/cmc/exhibitions/hist/biography/biographi216e.shtml to read about Canadian Personalities. To see more about the assignment check out my teachers blog.

4.a) I think the category that interested me the most was we fought. I liked that category the best because they fought for our freedom and our rights.

b)I like General James Wolfe because he played a important role in the battle of Quebec. His battle plan was to take all of his army up the foot hills to attack. By using that plan he won the war for England. If you want to know more about General James Wolfe click HERE.

c) It was hard to pick just three influential Canadians because a lot of Canadians are influential but they have not been reported by the press so know one really knows them but there family and friends.Well one influential Canadian I picked was Steve Nash. A point guard from Victoria, that in 2005 became the first Canadian to win the NBA most valuable player award.I think Steve Nash is a influential Canadian because he was the first Canadian to win the most valuable player award and because of that he inspired other people that if you work hard you get rewarded. Another influential Canadian I picked was Stewart Butterfield, also made my list for being a influential Canadian because he developed the photo-sharing website called Flicker. The website lets anyone share a photo on the web with little effort. I think he encouraged people to create even more stuff on the web which was helped in the last 10 years. Dr. David Suzuki is another great influential Canadian because for is great ideas and efforts towards the enviermint.

7.d)Which History-Maker did you have the most in common with? I had the most in commen with James Naismith. It was easy to figure out that it was him form the clues. One thing that we had in commen was that we both spoke english frist in your life.Another thing is that we both play sports. One thing we did not have in commen is that he earned degrees in philosophy, physical education, medicine and theology.Well i am only in grade 7.

8.e)I really don't know how I would like to be remembered maybe be the first female astronaut to land on the moon because to date, there have been 12 male, but no female astronauts to land on the moon. Really I don't care if I don't get remembered as long as I know I did something for the good I am happy.
